Excerpt: This is a list of Acts of Parliament of England during that body's existence prior to the Act of Union of 1707. For legislation passed after 1707, see the list of Acts of the Parliament of Great Britain and list of Acts of Parliament in the United Kingdom. The numbers after the titles of the acts are the chapter numbers. Acts before 1962 are referenced using 'Year of reign', 'Monarch', c., 'Chapter number' - e.g. 16 Charles II c. 2 - to define a chapter of the appropriate statute book. Since 1962, the regnal year has been replaced by the calendar year. All recent acts have a short title, or citation (e.g. Local Government Act 2003, National Health Service Act 1974). For other (non-Parliamentary) statutes of England see List of English statutes. Statute of Westminster the Second (Stat. Westm. sec.):- Statute of Winchester (Stat. The whole of this Statute, except for chapter 7 (the Forcible Entry Act 1381, was repealed for England by the Statute Law Revision Act 1863 (26 & 27 Vict c 125), and for Ireland by the Statute Law (Ireland) Revision Act 1872 (35 & 36 Vict c 98). This statute says that it was made at Westminster on the morrow after all souls day in 1391. There is no chapter 28 in this statute. The Inventory of Henry VIII of England compiled in 1547 is a list of the possessions of the crown. The inventory was made following a commission of 14 September 1547 during the first year of the reign of Edward VI of England. The surviving manuscripts list the possessions of Henry VIII of England item by item, by their location in houses. The armaments of ships and forts are also recorded. Altogether there are 17,810 items listed, and some of these entries contain multiple objects. Despi
