Due to its history and location, Ukraine has been faced with the dilemma between 'European choice' and 'Eurasian challenge.' Moreover, it is necessary for the continuity of the promoting democratic change in the region. Ukraine needs the EU and vice versa: its geopolitical position between Russia and Europe plays an important role in European security and stability.
