Gabriel Garcia Marquez is an internationally celebrated writer whose fiction has been put to the narratological scrutinizes here. The book is generally about the application of Genette's narratological model and theory to the select fiction of Garcia Marquez. The book also encompasses a detailed and workable history of narratology. Magical realist narratives of Marquez are narratologically 'metaleptic' displaying the logic of their 'being' and throwing into doubt the normal sense of reality and fiction. The biggest challenge comes from his unique, magical and real treatment of time as a fundamental category of narratology.
