Clove is one of the oldest spices used in the World by many different people in Africa, Europe, America and Asia. This work has shown the medical benefits of clove especially on some stomach diseases including ulcers. The use of ethyl acetate and n-butanol fractions of the clove on experimental mucosal damages has shown its efficacy in healing the damages more than cimetidine as one of the orthodox drugs in the treatment of the mucosal damages.
