This monograph would initially be a long scientific essay on political historical geography. However, after ten or more pages completed, I decided to define the outlines of the inter- connected relations between political economy, political science, political history and human geography. The subject required more than I had imagined at the outset and I could proceed to writing only by using a stream of connections style of thinking and presentation. The monograph turned into the stream of subsequent connections about power, time, space and value. what I tried to produce was nothing but the necessary components of a new Marxist grand theory,which has to cover the levels of analyses from individual body to urban and regional contexts toward global space and time of the capitalist life. However, Connections should be seen as a modest contribution to the devlopment of such a theory.
