O knihe

The worldwide education policy is inclusive, majority of people view it as the most conducive setting for learners. However, countries like Kenya are still grappling with segregated approach, where children with moderate and severe disabilities learn in special schools. These schools are still believed to provide adequate "related services" to these children. Practically these services are hard to come to enhance their academic and social participation in schools. Educating children with physical disabilities require a multidisciplinary approach that brings professionals from both academic and medical field for these children to perform at school. This book therefore sheds light on necessity of support services in school performance of children with physical disabilities at school and the role of teachers in coordinating the work of professionals for these children to get adequate services to facilitate their learning. The content will be useful for teachers, administrators in education, students training in Special Needs Education, parents and anyone else who would wish to improve and maintain the delivery of support services to learners with physical disabilities.
