His clever plan for quick revenge and escape fails, and he must turn to international kidnapping and a dangerous sea voyage in a small sailboat to escape his own killers.

Hannie and Jason, sailing friends left behind on Isla Mujeres, investigate Adam and Maria's disappearance and cross paths with the assassins sent to kill Carlos. That encounter yields a valuable clue to where Carlos has taken their friends. Though it almost costs them their lives, it shows them their dependence on God and firms their commitment to serve Him.

Adam and Maria survive Carlos' anger and threats, and even save his life while held captive. Carlos suffers a devastating loss and his escape plan fails. Yet, he comes to trust Adam, listens to his testimony, and accepts Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Carlos's life is changed; yet, he must still deal with the consequences of his actions. And, he is still a target for his assassins, who manage to find and kill him just before rescuers arrive.
