This volume presents the proceedings of the second conference on rabies organized by the World Organisation for Animal Health in collaboration with the World Health Organization and the European Union in May 2007. Up-to-date information on rabies epidemiology in humans and animals throughout Europe, The Middle East and Asia, and the most recent data on rabies virus and its structure, as well as the basic mechanisms of rabies infection are included here.
