Unknown Slovakia

Publishers of the book Unknown Slovakia would like to express their sincere thanks first of all to the photographers of the renowned agency Bilderberg from Hamburg. The founder of Bilderberg was Andrej Reiser -of Slovak origin. The only one further Slovak member is Karol Kallay, not living in Germany. The members of the Bilderberg agency are top photographers and since its foundation it has been clear, that by their special, individual views and attitudes to photography it will not be just a common agency. The members work for world famous magazines and many of them have been awarded in the World Press Photo competition. All Bilderberg members are remarkable personalities with their own, typical approach to work and photographic points of view. They are linked mainly by the classical tradition of photoreporting on the highest level. In the international photographic branch Bilderberg represents the guarantee of top quality. The more highly we appreciate that in 1992 twenty members accepted the invitation of the Ministry of international relations and they came to Slovakia. As they themselves confirmed in such high number they have never come together, not even at general meetings of their own agency. All without exception worked in Slovakia without any claim to financial reward.
