She and her family were among the many that fled to Eveneshia with the promise of refuge only to find that the Eveneshians intended to keep them captive forever.
As Clarisse and Jamie secretly communicate, they find themselves drawn to each other. And its only a matter of time before they're willing to risk everything to be together. Even if it means one of them would eventually lose their life according to the laws of the land.
