O knihe

The space era began on October, 4, 1957. During this time thousands of spacecrafts were sent to near and deep space. These flights were made and are making today by rockets that are moving through the liquid or solid fuel combustion in their engines. The proposed alternative driving force is to use the solar sail - the device that moves through the solar pressure. The device for flights outside the solar system is radioactive sail, which moves through the decay of radioactive nuclei. It is possible to reach the nearest stars using the sail not by 30 thousand years but for 20 years. Today the sail is the only spacecraft with the help of which we will be able to leave the solar system since it doesn't use any fuel to produce movement as long as the Sun shines or laser or, perhaps, something else...
