O knihe

It is known that the prevalence of essential trace element (EM) deficiency among all population groups reaches 70%. Being a part of metalloenzymes, it is necessary for functioning of all body systems, participates in growth and reproduction processes. The development of zinc deficiency is traditionally associated with dietary habits. At the same time, local geochemical conditions may have a more significant effect on the intensity of zinc accumulation in the body. First of all, it is the increased iron content in drinking water sources. In Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, along with the impact of climatic and geographical factors, a high risk of zinc deficiency in the population, especially in children, is formed. In Russia, the incidence of biometal deficiency in children reaches 30%. However, there are no data on the relationship between anthropometric parameters and zinc levels in children over 4-5 years of age. The study of the effect of zinc deficiency on the rates of physical and sexual development of children living in a discomfort region seems most promising.
