The mean temperature was nearly six degrees below the normal. The minimum temperature was thirteen degrees below the average March minimum and the lowest for this month on the records of this station. The maximum record was also unusually low. The mean dew point was seven degrees lower than usual while the relative humidity was practically normal.

The total precipitation was about twenty per cent more than the normal and well distributed throughout the month. Nearly one-half the amount occurred 'as snow. The heaviest snowstorm of the season occurred on the isth and a second large storm 011 the 20111 furnished the best sleighing of the winter.
