The following Lectures I had the honour to deliver to the members of the Norwich Geological Society and their friends in the Norwich Museum towards the end of last winter. At the request of the members, and encouraged by the manner with which the Lectures were received, I determined to publish them. Two of the Lectures embrace collateral sub jects, whilst the others are purely geological. 'i have endeavoured throughout to combine as many facts with just such common sense theories as explain them, and, in doing so, to render them as popular.
