Basically, the sensor itself has the possibility to captivate the equivalent of three low-light images simultaneously. In addition to this, the NASA researchers have demonstrated that the new sensor which has as name - VIIRS or the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite is extremely sensitive.
