The Ram Pump is a special type of Pump that can lift water to a considerable height without conventional sources of energy. However, its efficiency lies around 33%. If its efficacy is improved, Ram Pump has tremendous potentiality to be considered as a green pumping alternative. This study finds a way to improve the efficiency of Ram Pump by integrating a physics based perpetual machine with the pump in a novel way and then explores the potentiality of the improved pump to be used in Rooftop Rainwater Harvesting Systems.
