This book describes exploration on the hydration of admixtured special cement sample, which has carried out in the material science laboratory of Annamalai University, Tamilnadu, India. The details of initial and final setting time for different combinations of the blends and its compressive strength at different intervals are plotted and presented. The effects of intrusion of heavy metals like zinc, cadmium, magnesium, lead and chromium on HAC and OPC are established using XRD. The SEM pictures for selected samples offer informations about porosity of the samples and confirm the strength values.
