The internet network is different from traditional voice network and the requires completely new and innovative ways to support quality of service. Optical burst switching protocol is such an innovative idea which tries to provide prioritized service to mission critical data while at the same time maintaining service quality. This work tries to simulate the performance of offset time based burst switching protocol for various network traffic but mainly for exponential data traffic.
