Baghdad Zoo or Al-Zawraa Zoo as it is called in Iraq is one of the first zoos in the Middle East and despite its great historical and cultural importance, no book has been published about it until the issuance of our book. This book is, as we have mentioned, the first documentary, historical, scientific and cultural book on the Baghdad Zoo, where we worked to be written in an easy and simple format with containing all important scientific information in order to benefit from it by all segments and groups of Iraqi society and Arab society. The parts of the book were distributed into several paragraphs that included the definition of animals in the zoo and a historical summary of their emergence and importance in society, then the emergence of the Baghdad Zoo. The book also touched on the facilities included or attached to the zoo, which gives cultural, scientific and recreational integration to visitors.
