The fate of the Demon Hunter Gabrielle has finally been decided. This time however, it has nothing to do with Kendrik, the Vampire king of Mordith. For her loyal service, and dedication to her duty, she is being expelled from the Hunters League, all because of her two loyal Hell spawn servants. Only a miracle, or something equally large, will allow her to remain a Hunter.
Setting out for what is likely to be her last time as a Hunter, she is handed just the miracle she needs, as something equally large, in the form of a dragon, finds her. She makes a deal with the dragon, that only a fool would make, after the dragon reveals a secret which few are privy to. Before she can make use of the miracle handed her, she first has to recover the dragon's stolen gold, and recruits two unlikely and unwilling volunteers, one a thief, the other a witch.
As the Demon Hunter's story continues, and she makes both friends and enemies, the only thing she can count on are her loyal servants, and that things are not always as they appear.
