Shortly after Christa Devereax arrived in London to visit her aunt and uncle, the United States declared war on Great Britain. Although most of the fighting is along the Canadian border, the Royal Navy is attempting to cripple commerce by blockading the American coast. On top of this pirates and privateers roam the waters of the golf of Mexico and the Caribbean making travel very dangerous, but Christa still just wants to go home.
