O knihe

The book presents experimental investigations of crushing processes carried out on a jaw crusher. The introduction presents issues related to the machine process of rock fragmentation, typical failure mechanisms and main information about crushing machines, their application and basic operational parameters associated with the process. The second chapter presents results of experimental studies on the crushing process between eight sets of crushing plates. Main task of the research was to examine the influence of the shape of crushing plates on forces and crushing energy as well as grain composition of the obtained product. Next chapter presents the influence of the shape of crushing plates on the load distribution in the crushing chamber. The use of plates with variable profile and notches height has a positive effect on lowering the load in the lower chamber zone compared to flat or plates with constant profile and pitch. Finally, experimental comparison of two crushing technologies (one and two-stage), where fragmentation is carried out on the same crusher is presented. Analysis of the results shows that two-stage crushing reduces the energy consumption of the process by 30%.
