Metoprolol Tartrate is a ß-blocker drug indicated for the treatment of angina, prevention of myocardial infarction, Essential hypertension; It has low bioavailability of about 40% due to hepatic metabolism. The purpose of this research was to improve the bioavailability by preparing a fast dissolving tablet using superdisintegrants method. Because pregastric absorption of drug improves bioavailability, gives rapid onset of action when needed.
