The research study identified the key promising areas of wind power potential in Myanmar through theoretical, technical, and geographical approaches to support the research and development sector and to conduct a broader analysis for future energy development. The study also demonstrated feasible wind farm layout configuration as a case example to mitigate negative social and environmental effects, to facilitate future research, and therefore improve future siting decisions. From the research findings, the relevant wind energy policy framework was informed to better understand to be utilized wind energy through technical wind potential assessment in Myanmar.Therefore this study provided guidance on methods, and information for all sectors (government departments, universities, and non-governmental organizations) seeking to promote wind energy development in Myanmar, as well as supporting to consider some policies and frameworks for future wind energy development.
