In this review, I am dealing with the book, not the author. With the latter I have no personal acquaintance, and can be prompted by no personal animosity in anything I may say. Had the book been anonymous, we should naturally suppose the devil to be its author, as it seems to be written in his interest, and doing his work, and thus significantly squinting towards Satanic paternity. I think the more appropriate title would be the devil's text book, as suggestive of its appropriate sphere of service.
