Official reports from the Department of Health has exposed the multiple hospitals in the United Kingdom which spend merely £2.19 a day on patients' meals. Other research have brought up evidence which show that there are dozens of British hospitals trusts which spend less than £5 a day on providing three meals for their patients. Medical statistics indicate that the Department of Health have discovered that some hospitals spend more than £15 on food per patient while others were working off budgets of less than a third of that. Alarmingly, the lowest spending hospital in the Great Britain appears to be Newham University Hospital Trust which submitted figures of just £2.19 for feeding its patients a day! Therefore, the Department of Health has reminded the various hospitals that human nutrition should consist of the necessary calories and nutrients which have as aim to prevent human beings from suffering against malnutrition and other health complications.
