The present book is based on laboratory research and portrays the approaches in the preparation, analysis and characterization of most important cellulose derivatives, especially carboxymethyl-cellulose (CMC), cellulose acetate (CA) and cellulose nitrate (CN) and their applications onto textile fabrics from a view to utilize the cellulosic wastes of textile and garment industries. The cellulosic wastes contain high amount of good quality a-cellulose. However, the purpose of the present book is to explore the use of cellulosic wastes by synthesizing high grade CMC, CA and CN by applying multi-steps carboxymethylation, acetylation and nitration techniques.
