O knihe
Ochrobactrum anthropi (O. anthropi) is a non-fermenting, aerobic, gram-negative bacillus that exhibits widespread resistance to ß-lactam antibiotics and is able to colonize a variety of environments, namely soil, plants, insects, animals and humans . Reports of opportunistic/nosocomial infections caused by O. anthropi have been increasing over the last decade. Furthermore, O. anthropi populations may adapt in response to habitat and host interactions. Indeed, after its molecular characterization, human-associated clonal complex appear to indicate it possesses a specialized opportunistic behaviour. This book, therefore, provides an overview on taxonomy, microbiology, some aspects of pathogenesis, diagnosis and clinical/therapeutical features of this very intriguing microrganism.
