For analyzing one of the newest channel coding algorithm's which called polar codes, we propose an algorithm for the successive cancellation decoding of the polar codes. The proposed algorithm is suitable for parallel processing operations and easy to implement in hardware. The proposed algorithm is simulated using MATLAB programming and performance graphs are obtained for binary erasure channels. The proposed decoding algorithm can be applied to any other discrete memory-less channel.
