Need of phosphorus to maize crop is very important. But the availability of Phosphorus is very limited in Indian soils due to fixation and leaching losses. In particular, salt affected soils are showing poor response to applied Phosphorus fertilization. In this regard, application of organic manures along with inorganic Phosphorus and Microorganisms will play a major role in release of Phosphorus in soils.
