Teresa attended White Hall schools, growing up during a time when the saying "it takes a village to raise a child" wasn't just a saying. She currently resides in Muskegon, MI, with her husband for 17 years, Robert Dye, and she has three daughters, Tamara West (and her husband Prentice), Lavonda Knox, and Crystal Dye, two Sons, Robert Jr. (and his wife Lucretia) and Julius, three grandsons (Derek, Larenzo, Robert III), five granddaughters (Ashara, Diamond, Jakaiya, Nia, and Malea), one great-granddaughter (Alyse) and one great-grandson (Camden).
