In this book, author represents a general introduction to various aspects of zeolites, mesoporous aluminosilicates and their physicochemical properties. Salient features of metal and organic moiety incorporated porous materials have been discussed. For characterization of catalysts, several instrumentation techniques have been adopted and also described in brief. The catalytic activities were tested using synthesized catalysts for production of intermediate chemicals through various types of carbon-carbon bond formation reactions, viz. Friedel-Craft alkylation, Mukaiyama-Michael and aldol condensation, Pechmann reaction and Michael-addition, etc.
