Tuberculosis (TB) White plague or as it is popularly known, tuberculosis emerged on the African continent at least 70,000 years ago, accompanied humans in the evolution and expansion process by the planet, even today considered a threat to health. TB is a chronic granulomatous infectious disease caused by bacteria of the microbacteria group. It is important to note that there are microbacteria that can cause TB and others that cannot. The main causes are, from most important to least: tubercle bacillus, Mycobacteriumbovis and Mycobacterium africanum.
