This book presents PID controller implemented by fuzzy logic and FPGA. Controller model is carried out by using MATLAB-SIMULINK. FPGA is emulated for the generated HDL code. Simulation and emulation results are compared between Fuzzy logic and PID implementation on FPGA. The results indicate improvement in step response characteristics such as reducing the steady states error, rise time, settling time and maximum overshoot in control of a DC motor.
