Migel Jayasinghe grew up in British Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) and was educated in English since the age of seven. At the age of 26, he left his position as a sub-inspector of police and emigrated to the United Kingdom. Eventually, he found his vocation as an occupational psychologist after acquiring two university degrees over a period of time. Since retirement, he has devoted himself to creative writing.
