Egg oil was also known as egg yolk oil and it was derived from the yolk of chicken eggs consisting of triglycerides with traces of lecithin, cholesterol, xanthophylls, leutin, zeaxanthin and immunoglobulins. It was free of egg proteins and hence may be used by people who were allergic to eggs. It was used for the typical applications like skin and hair care. Egg oil was used for burns, eczema, dermatitis, mouth ulcers, skin ulcers, chapped nipples, tineacapitis, ringworm, nasalvestibulitis, frostibite and haemorrhoids.
