Bela is a lower-middle-class girl staying in a suburb in Mumbai. She feels her life is getting wasted as she spends half her day traveling by local trains and the other half slogging at work to feed her thankless mother and younger brother. Her boyfriend is an aimless guy who doesn't stick to a single workplace. Her mom wants to marry her off to someone who is willing to pay them money and keep supporting them financially.
