O knihe

Exploring the growing relationship between performance and food in contemporary culture, this new book examines processes of 'making food', 'eating food' and 'watching food', in order to explore gendered, personal, and cultural food practices in the everyday, arts practice and popular culture. Through a tripartite methodological approach (scholarly, ethnographic and artistic inquiry), the book traces and examines the multifarious food practices currently available in contemporary culture.

Jenny Lawson is Lecturer in Contemporary Performance in the School of Performance and Cultural Industries at the University of Leeds, UK. She is a researcher and performance maker whose work investigates food, femininity, domesticity, autobiography, place and popular culture. Her previous publications include articles in journals such as Women and Performance and the Journal of Media Culture.
