The Association met in Verandah, Hall, at 11 O'clock, A. M., the Senior vice-president, Dr. Usher parsons, Of Rhode Island, presiding, in the absence of the President, Dr. Jonathan knight, of Connecticut.
Upon invitation extended to the vice-presidents and Ex Presidents Of the Association, Dr. H. K. Frost, Of South Caro lina, vice-president, and Dr. R. D. Mussey, Of Cincinnati, Ex President, took seats upon the platform.
The Secretary, Dr. E. S. Lemoine, of St. Louis, read letters from Dr. Knight, the President, and Dr. Beadle, of New York, the Senior Secretary, deeply regretting that matters Of urgent importance would prevent them from attending the Session of the Association at St. Louis, and uniting with its members there.
