O knihe
The human mind plays a very fundamental role in human existence. It is therefore inconceivable to behold that such fundamental part of a person would be in captivity. "Bondage" here, presents a situation wherein the mind is passive and constantly being acted upon by factors outside of it. Conatus is an intrinsic principle of nature, where the individual constitutionally endeavour to persist to exist. Individuals that are in bondage will inevitably be susceptible by the contrary. Individuals in bondage will not be able to persist to exist, and will constantly prefer to live in an individual world and state rather than live in a community, for the community prescribes rules that maintain existence and the minds of persons in bondage will not permit such. In the midst of all these mishap, there seems to be hope for the bondaged minds. The way to freedom lies in a process of acquiring ideas, once these ideas could be acquired to the level of adequate idea, the individual can hence possess intuitive knowledge, and this is the necessary tool to acquire freedom. But does it all end in the mind being free?
