Stories unite and inspire us - no matter the language or country of origin!
Connected by one of the world's most multicultural cities, emerging and published authors - members of the Immigrant Writers Association (IWA) - were asked to share stories and viewpoints on how immigrants build bridges: between cultures, inner and outer worlds, past and future...
Each chapter of this engaging anthology - written in their preferred style (poetry, non-fiction, fiction) - portrays different aspects of the vast array of immigrants' experiences. All spiced up with cultural "flavours" of thirteen countries besides Canada: Romania, India, France, Senegal, Argentina, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Cameroon, Lebanon, Germany, USA, and Iran.
Similar to IWA's mission, this book is also an attempt to build bridges between people - immigrants or not - connecting them through universal themes like belonging, finding your voice and purpose, desire, spirituality, ancestry and more.
