Secondly it deals with the appearance of the African Diaspora in the US today.
There is a pilgrimage tourism existant in the US, which tends to the ex-slave trading ports of West-Africa. Let us suppose that African-Americans have been able to preserve the mainstream of their ancestors'' culture and identity in this New World. I examine whether the blacks'' own brought identity provides the basis for these people to become a part of the cultural tourism or not. Do Afro-Americans truly have the internal force to search for their roots in Africa or could it just be the effect of the travel agencies?
It seems there is a contrast between Africans and Afro-Americans. Africans do not reckon African-Americans as real Africans, probably because of their difference in culture, identity etc...
