The search for the third Sister of Power takes Viktor Brandewyne to Mexico and the Devil's daughter. She sends him to find devil's hoof but doesn't explain exactly what it is. All Viktor knows is that she will use it to try to enslave him once he brings it back to her. His quest strands him in the middle of the shark-infested Indian Ocean with no food or water, no wind, and no siren to sing one up for him. Try as he might to reach her, his bond with Belladonna has fallen silent. Silent Fathoms is a globe-encircling adventure and dark fantasy with pirates, vampires, mermaids, witches, a god and goddess, and a man-eating siren (not to be confused with a mermaid, her favorite food). It draws from both Mexican and Bengalese folklore and mythology for some elements of the story and includes a brief bibliology in the after matter. This is the third installment in the Waves of Darkness series' Sisters of Power story arc. This is a second edition. The book was originally published in 2013. This edition is the first to include synopsis for the previous books in the series.
