Honey is used to advantage in many kinds of cooking that ordinarily call for sugar, including with meat and vegetable recipes. Honey adds an unmistakable flavor and blends well with other ingredients. Despite its apparent stickness it makes beautifully smooth doughs when mixed with flour and cereals; bowls and hands come out clean, almost waxy.
