Born in Cameroon, Timothy Keyeke Mbombo earned a bachelor's degree in English and a master's in American literature from the University of Yaounde in Cameroon. He taught for some years in secondary schools before moving to the U.S., where he obtained a diploma in creative writing from Stratford Career Institute.
