O knihe

Book Two of the 'Moon Toast' Trilogy. The location is Juneau, Alaska, in the year 1977. The hero, ex-gymnastic champion, Stuart LeClercq (22), and his lover and partner, Katrina Ericcson (30), are Commercial Fishing for halibut on the 46-foot long-liner, F.V. Devil's Advocate. Their Skipper, "The Old Man", ex-Vietnam Veteran Phil Tollefson (33) is teaching them the ways of highliner fishing, as well as tutoring the two in the Spiritual Path of the Southeast Alaskan and Mayan Native Indians. The three spend the Spring and Summer fishing in the Gulf of Alaska, studying the history of Alaska and the migrations of the Native Americans from Siberia, then move to the Yucatan Peninsula in the Winter to continue their Path, learning the history of the Mayans and Spanish in Eastern Mexico. They become partners in a tourist guide company in the Sian Ka'an region of Mexico, piloting small boats within the Biosphere teaching about the flora and fauna, as well as the ancient Mayan ruins. All is going splendidly for the three, until they inadvertantly become entangled in an International drug smuggling ring that threatens to tear their tranquil lives apart. Whether they are working in Alaska fishing, or running tourist boats in Tulum, Mexico, avoiding the relentless assassins becomes the greatest challenge of all.
