That evening as she was lying on the desert floor close to death, one of the young men found her. As he reached down and lifted her into his arms, she became conscious long enough to realize she had been rescued. She could sense she was safe and drifted back into unconsciousness. This would be the beginning of her journey into the Red Man's world. Here she would learn the definition of the word "love."
