O knihe

From the muddy jungles of Vietnam, to the concrete jungles of Vasser, New York, Jason Shark was heading down a path of personal destruction. Then, just as it seemed he would finally pull himself, literally, out of the gutter, his hopes and dreams are smashed once more, this time by "Ruby" and his street gang. Devoid of all hope, Jason dedicates himself to finding a way to kill Ruby and avenge the loss of his best friend.

Ruby had a great thing going. Money, girls, drugs, and whatever other forms of entertainment he wanted. The cops let him alone; and the abandoned office building that served as his "hangout" provided all the security and comforts of a small fort. His small band of cohorts followed him unquestionably, except for one. It was only a matter of time before "Speedy" would have to leave the gang - one way or the other. Then, on a dark night, in another abandoned building, Ruby's life changed forever.

Clint Jameson had put his past behind him and had started a new life in the mountains of northern Pennsylvania. Along with his trusting, four-legged sidekick "Shack", he built a new home and new relationships and devoted his energies to erasing certain memories. Then, one night in the Old Timers Inn, his life is turned upside-down by the entrance of a beautiful woman.

We never know where the paths we choose will lead us. Each decision we make can take us down a different road. The people we meet and the opportunities we experience all contribute to the choices we make. As Jason, Ruby and Clint struggle with their choices, they each travel down their own twisting and turning paths . on a collision course.
