Born to Nigerian parents, Ikechuku weathered the setbacks on the odyssey that led him from Africa to the United States as an international student, with the hope of eventually becoming a naturalized American citizen. In the ensuing years when his student visa was to be converted into a work visa, he would lose his legal status, be left with no option but to leave the United States on a ten-day notice, and have a brief stint in the outskirts of Paris during which time he desperately attempted to legally re-enter America.
It's a story about overcoming adversity in the face of the impossible. It's a story about believing in and pursuing a dream through thick and thin, highs and lows. It's a story about patient perseverance and the kindness of humanity-of strangers and friends who supported Ikechuku along the way.
