Linear and nonlinear optics made possible by carefully filling photonic crystal fibers with various media. One demonstrate complete flexibility of individual shutting and subsequent filling of photonic crystal fibers with highly nonlinear liquids using the two-photon direct laser writing approach. A small femtosecond oscillator is used as the pump source in an experimental demonstration of a solitonic production spanning a 835 nm bandwidth.
